
Richard Godfrey
Director
Richard Godfrey brings a wealth of experience to Capstone Mining. Richard started in the mining business in 1988 as mine site controller at the Faro and Sa Dena Hes zinc mines in Yukon and then moved to corporate controller with Royal Oak Mines. This was followed by VP Finance & CFO of Triton Mining and then as Financial Advisor to Ma'aden, the Saudi Arabian State Mining Company. In 2003, he became VP Finance & CFO of Breakwater Resources and subsequent to this, was appointed VP Finance for EuroZinc Mining, prior to its merger with Lundin Mining. He joined Sherwood Copper in 2007 as CFO and continued as Capstone's CFO upon the merger of Sherwood and Capstone in 2008.
Gary Brown
Director
Mr. Brown is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of in-depth experience across a broad range of finance and business disciplines. He joined Silver Wheaton in 2008, and is currently the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Silver Wheaton, he was Chief Financial Officer of TIR Systems Ltd., during which time he was instrumental in the company's acquisition by Royal Philips Electronics. He has also held senior finance positions at CAE Inc., Westcoast Energy Inc. and Creo Inc., and holds designations as both a chartered accountant and a chartered financial analyst
Michael Murphy MBA, MSc.
Director
Mr. Murphy spent 15 years in London working with Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse.
Prior to joining Redzone Resources, Mr. Murphy was President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of Gleichen Resources (GRL-V) now known as Torex Gold trading on the TSX under symbol TXG. Torex Gold acquired and financed the Morelos Gold Property from Teck Resources a leading Canadian mining company. He has since resigned from day to day involvement, however he remains on the Torex Gold board.
Matthew Watson
Lead Director
Mr. Watson has over two decades of diverse business experience and currently manages a private investment fund. Mr. Watson began his career as a lawyer in the Vancouver office of a leading national law firm focusing on corporate transactions in the resource and technology sectors. Mr. Watson's business experience in Canada and the United States includes acting as senior officers and directors of several successful public companies including COO of Carmanah (TSX:CMH) from 2003 to 2006 where he helped grow the market cap from $15million to $150 million in three years and winning over 50 industry awards in the process. Mr. Watson has a BA in economics and Juris Doctor from UBC.
Alan F. Matthews
Director
Mr. Matthews is a Mining Engineer and a Chartered Engineer (C. Eng.) with over 30 years mining and exploration experience in the minerals industry, specializing in gold, copper and industrial minerals. Mr. Matthews started his career in South Africa with Anglo American Corporation and for the first 10 years of his career was closely involved with producing mines in various countries. Since then he has been involved with the start-up and commissioning of mines in Scotland (Aberdeen Barytes), Papua New Guinea (Ok Tedi) and the United States (various SX-EW copper operations). He is founder, President, and director of Kernow Resources and Developments Ltd., and a director of Arapahoe Capital Corporation and Redzone Resources, Ltd. (all Canadian junior exploration companies).
